Mineral discovery holds promise for Dene mining corp. – Northern Journal

A new mineral discovery at an old silver mine near Great Bear Lake in the Sahtu has the NWT’s Dene-owned mining exploration company excited about the site’s world-class potential.

Denendeh Exploration and Mining Co. (DEMCo) announced the results of its 2014 exploration program at the Camsell River property last week, revealing evidence of extensive gold and copper deposits, along with lead, zinc, cobalt, silver and bismuth.

“We’re very happy,” DEMCo CEO Darrell Beaulieu shared with The Journal last week. “We think it’s a new discovery, and there haven’t been any new discoveries in the North for quite a while.
