NB Government: Statement from the lieutenant governor

FREDERICTON (GNB) – Lt.-Gov. Jocelyne Roy Vienneau issued the following statement today:

As the lieutenant-governor of New Brunswick, the representative of Her Majesty, Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada, ‎I have met with Premier Brian Gallant and I have accepted his resignation.

In turn, I have asked Blaine Higgs to form the next government, as he has assured me he can form a government which will enjoy the confidence of the legislative assembly.
