Eligibility

To apply for the Nee-Swas Youth Loan Fund, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

• Be First Nations status
• Be between 18 and 39 years of age
• Have a compelling business idea or an existing business with growth potential
• Have a clear business plan outlining objectives, strategies, and financial projections
• Business must be based in our service area

What We Offer

Financial Support

We offer low-interest loans tailored specifically for young First Nation entrepreneurs. These funds can be utilized for starting a new full-time business or a side-hustle, expanding an existing business, or innovating within your field.

• Access up to $75,000 to start, expand, or innovate your business
• Up to three (3) months interest-only payments
• Flexible terms up to 84 months
• 10% equity requirement

Full-time businesses may qualify for a non-repayable contribution through the Aboriginal Business Financing Program.

Business Planning Guidance and Support

Beyond financial assistance, we provide expert guidance and support to assist young First Nation entrepreneurs to develop a business plan outlining objectives, strategies, and financial projections.

Bookkeeping Support

Our Bookkeeping Support Team is available to provide expert guidance and support young First Nation entrepreneurs to develop and maintain a financial recording keeping system. Good bookkeeping offers practical business benefits essential to a successful business, including:

• budgeting and cash flow
• analysing business strengths and weaknesses
• planning for the future

Networking Opportunities

Connecting with like-minded individuals is crucial for any entrepreneur. Through our network, we facilitate opportunities for learning, collaboration, and partnerships, enabling young First Nation entrepreneurs to expand their horizons and grow their businesses.
