That is the message Nipissing First Nation Chief Scott McLeod is spreading since the writ was dropped last week.
“First Nations are choosing a treaty partner,” he said Thursday.
“The recent Conservative government hasn’t been a great treaty partner. Collectively we have to look at all the candidates and consider who would be the best treaty partner. We will be following this election closely.”
McLeod said First Nation voters need to realize whether they participate or not in the federal election they will be affected by the outcome.
