There’s a new person in charge at Nunavut Tourism.
Kevin Kelly, who previously served as director of member and visitor services, is Nunavut Tourism’s new CEO, the organization announced Aug. 7.
He replaces Colleen Dupuis, who announced her retirement earlier this year after six years with the tourism body.
Kelly, who has worked in Nunavut over the last decade, first came north to manage the Inns North hotel in Baker Lake, then moved to Rankin Inlet to work with the Nunavut Development Corp.
He joined Nunavut Tourism in 2010. As director of member and visitor services, Kelly started number of projects: a move to electronic voting, member website marketing, a member insurance program and other training initiatives.
