Ontario gives First Nation nearly $900K for a workforce training centre – Northern Ontario Business

New facility will “contribute to our nation’s growth,” says Mishkeegogamang Chief Merle Loon.

MISHKEEGOGAMANG OJIBWAY NATION — The government of Ontario is contributing $894,000 to Mishkeegogamang Ojibway Nation for the construction of a modular training centre.

The investment — announced Tuesday by George Pirie, the minister of northern economic development and growth — comes through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation.
