Quebec, Nov 21, 2014. – More than 5,000 participants walked through the doors of the Convention Center to participate in Quebec Quebec Mining 2014 in the last days. The mining community development actors North, students and citizens were there!

These are 2250 delegates, including 136 commercial and institutional exhibitors and 100 exhibitors geoscientists, who participated in various aspects of the conference.
Some 2500 students Quebec, Beauceville , Lotbinière, Maskinongé, of St. Sophia -to-Lévrard and Three Rivers took part in Québec Mines Discovery and visited the Salon M4S.
About 300 people responded to the invitation of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (DENR) and took advantage of the open house Wednesday afternoon.
Twenty countries were represented in the various activities of the international component of Québec Mines.
Several representatives of First Nations, including those of the North were present and played an important role in trade for them.
Tuesday, 53 new exploration targets revealed by the work of the Ministry geologists have been unveiled. Between the time of publication and the end of the congress, 558 claims were made, of which 166 are in the territory covered by these new exploration targets.
Quebec Mining 2014 some highlights
Mr. Luc Blanchette , Minister for Mines, kicked off Quebec Mines and its Discovery section Tuesday morning. He has participated in several conference activities and the opportunity to discuss with the actors in the mining development in Quebec.

They all voted for mine development citing their concerns and expectations.
Pierre Arcand came to talk to the Plan Nord at a midi networking and took advantage of his visit to Quebec Mines to announce a large shipyard on the reconciliation of uses and social acceptability.
Meetings between Quebecers and South Koreans, under the Energy Forum Korea-Canada, which took place on the sidelines of Québec Mines, led to fruitful exchanges.
Quebec’s first rough diamond company Stornoway Diamonds were exposed publicly and featured all day on Wednesday and have marveled more!
The activity of the Treasury Initiative North – Trough Labrador to encourage Aboriginal participation in the development of Northern Quebec, was a resounding success.
The conference of Mr. Jean Charest, a partner at McCarthy Tétrault, on mining development in West Africa and opportunities for Quebec has been very popular.
In summary, Quebec Mining 2014 on its promises by offering participants a program of high quality, numerous networking opportunities and special moments! Québec Mines gives appointment to the mining community next year, the 23 to 26 November 2015.

Quebec Mining 2014 is organized by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources in collaboration with the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, the Mining Association of Canada, the National Institute of Mines Quebec, Sectoral Committee workforce mining industry, MISA Group 48 th International North, Aboriginal Affairs and Development of North Canada , Quebec and the International Association of Quebec economists and organizers Interviews Jacques Cartier. This is the only conference that brings together all stakeholders in the development of mineral resources of Quebec and invite over, students of primary and secondary as well as the population to make a foray into the mining sector.
