Sydney boardwalk development – Cape Breton Post

SYDNEY — The lack of services on the Sydney boardwalk as outlined in a waterfront development plan has resulted in the first signs of building construction along the promenade.

Two kiosks are being built on the boardwalk on the property that was the former site of the Royal Cape Breton Yacht Club. The cost is approximately $50,000 to $60,000 to build the kiosks, and it’s part of the overall $2.4-million boardwalk expansion project that was financed between the federal government and the Cape Breton Regional Municipality.
