Distributions of household economic accounts for income, consumption, saving and wealth of Canadian households, fourth quarter 2024
Highest income households increased their share of income through investment growth while lower income households’ wages declined in 2024. Easing borrowing costs and slower inflation supported economic well-being for lower income and the least wealthy households.
Estimates of multifactor productivity growth, provinces, 2023
Multifactor productivity (MFP) in the business sector declined by 1.7% in 2023, following a 0.6% increase in 2022. In 2023, MFP in the business sector declined in every province except Saskatchewan.
Symmetric input-output tables, 2023
The national symmetric input-output tables for 2023 are now available. The national symmetric input-output tables for 2021 and 2022 have been revised.
Wholesale trade, February 2025
Wholesale sales (excluding petroleum, petroleum products, and other hydrocarbons and excluding oilseed and grain) rose 0.3% to $85.7 billion in February.
New motor vehicle sales, February 2025
New motor vehicle sales totalled 125,402 units in February 2025, a decrease of 8.1% compared to the year prior. This decrease was driven by a year-over-year decline to units sold in Ontario (-13.0%) and Quebec (-22.5%).
