Industrial product and raw materials price indexes, July 2017
The Industrial Product Price Index declined 1.5% in July, mainly due to lower prices for motorized and recreational vehicles. The Raw Materials Price Index was down 0.6%, mostly attributable to lower prices for metal ores, concentrates and scrap.
Farm Product Price Index, June 2017
The Farm Product Price Index (FPPI) decreased 1.2% in June compared with the same month a year earlier, primarily due to lower grain and specialty crop prices. Moderating the decline was an increase in the livestock and animal products index. The FPPI continued its year-over-year decline, which began in December 2015, but has been falling at a slower rate since January 2017.
Poultry and egg statistics, June 2017
Egg production rose 3.8% from June 2016 to 64.3 million dozen in June.
Production and disposition of tobacco products, July 2017
Canadian manufacturers produced 1.7 billion cigarettes in July, down 13.1% from June. Cigarette production decreased 1.1% compared with July 2016.
