Cancer incidence in Canada, 2016
In 2016, over 146,000 new cases of cancer were diagnosed in Canada, excluding Quebec (see note to readers). This represents an incidence rate of approximately 523 cases per 100,000 people. Since the inception of the Canadian Cancer Registry (CCR) in 1992, the annual number of diagnosed cancer cases has increased from one year to the next as the population ages and grows.
Consulting Services Price Index, third quarter 2018
Prices for consulting services in Canada declined 0.5% in the third quarter, continuing the downward trend observed since the beginning of 2018.
Annual wages, salaries and commissions of T1 tax filers, 2017
In 2017, the median annual income from wages, salaries and commissions of individuals who filed a T1 Income Tax and Benefit Return in Canada was $36,980. This was up slightly from $36,630 in 2016 and $36,740 in 2015. Estimates include all workers with wages, salaries or commissions, including both full- and part-time as well as full- and part-year workers.
