51 per cent of respondents say they support Trudeau government’s plan
A razor-thin majority of Canadians support the federal government’s carbon pricing plan, according to a new poll. The Mainstreet/Postmedia poll found that 51 per cent of respondents said they approve, with 21 per cent saying they strongly approve and 30 per cent saying they somewhat approve.

Members of Alberta’s Wildrose party have given leader Brian Jean a mandate to fight the provincial government’s carbon tax, reports the Edmonton Journal. The party’s rank-and-file gave Jean overwhelming support to fight the policy at their annual general meeting in Red Deer on Saturday.
