Survey on Research Activities and Commercialization of Intellectual Property in Higher Education, 2023
Research and development activities drive the creation of intellectual property. During the reference period, over two in five postsecondary institutions (43.2%) reported having intellectual property disclosures, a total of 2,510 disclosures. Close to three in four intellectual property disclosures (74.3%) nationally were for inventions.
Energy statistics, July 2025
Primary energy production increased 4.3% year over year in July with crude oil and equivalent products (+7.2%) and natural gas (+4.4%) leading the gain.

Data from the Oil and Gas Extraction Survey for 2024 are now available. The Oil and Gas Extraction Survey provides data on finances, income and balance sheets, as well as on operations of establishments in the oil and gas extraction industry.
Poultry and egg statistics, September 2025
Poultry and egg statistics are available for Canada and the provinces. Data on stocks of frozen eggs and poultry meats, as well as edible dried egg products, are available for September 2025. Data on the placements of hatchery chicks and turkey poults are available for August 2025, and data on egg production are available for July 2025.
