Women’s House and Bruce County partner for virtual online International Women’s Day event with keynote speaker Sarain Fox

Press Release

Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey and Bruce County’s Business to Bruce program are partnering to present Career Development: The Golden Thread — an International Women’s Day online event on Thursday, March 10, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Join Sarain Fox, dancer, choreographer, stylist, activist, brand ambassador, television host, and content producer, as she provides audiences with a new perspective to exploring career development. Sarain shares crucial career lessons including – the myth of the “big break,” the reality of imposter syndrome, and the invaluable impact of believing in yourself. Participants will leave with the tools needed to shift from seeking something they want to do, to finding a way to make the things they love to do coexist. The golden thread that ties it all together!

This event is provided at no cost, however, please consider donating to the Women’s House Serving Bruce & Grey when registering.

“As Warden, I’m so proud to see Bruce County partner with an organization that has the singular focus of protecting the most vulnerable members of our community,” said Bruce County Warden Janice Jackson.

Starting on March 1 until noon on March 10, Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey will be auctioning off a number of fun and unique items to bid on to raise money for their organization. Winning bidders will be announced at the event and will receive an email indicating that their bid won. All auction proceeds will go directly to Women’s House. To access the online auction visit www.biddingforgood.com/auction/auctionhome.action?vhost=whsbg.

“Because of the generosity and support of our sponsors we are able to be a part of important initiatives that give back to the businesses in our community and support the women in our community,” shared Michelle Lamont, Community and Fund Development Coordinator for Women’s House.

The recipients of the annual Women’s House Woman of Distinction award will be presented at the event.
