EDMONTON – Speakers from across Canada gather in Edmonton Thursday evening to talk about aboriginal life in cities.
Organizers hope the event will spark a broader conversation that lasts for more than one night.
Nine people, including an architect, a comedian, and former Ontario premier Bob Rae, will speak at the sold-out The Walrus Talks Aboriginal City, presented by Enterprise Edmonton, at the Shaw Conference Centre.
“The hope is that people leave thinking ‘I never thought about it that way,’” said David Leonard, director of events and special projects at The Walrus Foundation.
