Aboriginal Partnership Bursary Program returns – Campbell River Mirror

Jun 11, 2015

London Drugs Aboriginal Partnership Bursary Program is returning.

As a strong family-based company, London Drugs believes in promoting education while also providing individuals with the opportunity to seek further learning, a company press release says. In support of the educational programs, London Drugs will be accepting applications for the Aboriginal Partnership Bursary Program from now until June 15.

“London Drugs has always and will continue to place value in education,” said Clint Mahlman, London Drugs Executive Vice-President and COO. “We are very excited to bring the Aboriginal Partnership Bursary Program back for another year to help first year post-secondary students with their education.”

The $500 bursaries will be awarded to a total of six first-year students in the Westbank, Duncan and Campbell River areas. Students must be 25 and under and enrolled or planning to enroll as a full-time student in a program with a minimum length of nine weeks. To apply, students must send a reference letter by a community group leader, coach or teacher that demonstrates why the applicant should receive a bursary.
