In 2006, Jody Ryan’s mother, Shirley Clethroe, went missing unexpectedly from the Peace Region one night.
“She was amazing,” she said. “My mom was really young at heart, a nice, funny person…she was a regular mom, that worked, that stayed home with the kids when she could.”
But Ryan has been in the dark since 2006 about what happened to her, despite repeated requests for information to the police.
Ryan got a chance to share her family’s story with Amnesty International.
