Anishinabek Lifetime Achievement Awards honour Wasauksing, Dokis First Nations women – Parry Sound News

The Anishinabek Nation 7th Generation Charity (AN7GC) held their 22nd annual Anishinabek Evening of Excellence virtually for the first time ever on Jan. 27.
The night was to honour the 2020 recipients of the Anishinabek Lifetime Achievement Awards.
“It’s been quite the wait for this event to take place,” said Jason Restoule, manager of AN7GC and MC for the night. “This is one of those types of events that we believe that coming together is an important part of, and that’s why we haven’t done a virtual event sooner than this, because we were hoping to be able to come together and have a celebration in person.”
