For the second time in two days, Treasury Board President Mona Fortier is booked to appear before a parliamentary committee: this time, courtesy of GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS AND ESTIMATES, where MPs are set to start going over the fine print in the latest supplementary estimates, as well as the department’s annual report for 2020-2021. (3:30 – 5:30 PM)
Over at PUBLIC SAFETY AND NATIONAL SECURITY, MPs circle back to their House-assigned study on the rise in gang-related gun crime, as well as illegal arms trafficking during a session with Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino, with Canada Border Services Agency president John Ossowski and RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki also slated to appear.
