SYDNEY — Students and mentors from the Maritimes and Quebec will gather in Membertou and at the Cape Breton University campus Friday and Saturday to celebrate and foster interest in Aboriginal business education.
The business network for Aboriginal youth known as In.Business and the interactive business simulation game Music Mogul will also be launched during the two day conference.
“Due in large part to the success of the Business Network for Aboriginal Youth … the Purdy Crawford Chair in Aboriginal Business studies is growing and expanding their high school mentorship program nationally,” said Keith Brown, vice-president of International and Aboriginal Affairs and Purdy Crawford chair holder in a press release.
“The national program, In.Business — A Business Network for indigenous youth, previously known as the Business Network for Aboriginal Youth, will have approximately 300 students and 50 mentors from across Canada when we complete the rollout.”
