Email concerning Northern Gateway obtained through FOI ‘suspicious’, says local First Nation
Chief Ellis Sam of the Northwest B.C. Haisla First Nation is among those taking legal action to try and prevent the construction of the Northern Gateway Pipeline.
“When people are talking to me about conspiracy theories about Canada is going to push this thing through, with or without us – it didn’t matter, I didn’t want to believe that but now I’m starting to think, ‘maybe there is some truth to that,’” says Chief Sam.
The group now claim to have proof federal authorities knew the review process of the project was flawed and approved it anyway.
