Goliath gold plan up for review – The Chronicle Journal

Treasury Metals Inc. has reached an important milestone in the environmental assessment process for the company’s Goliath Gold Project near Dryden.

The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency has determined that the company’s Environmental Impact Statement submission for the project conforms to its guidelines.

As a result, the company said the gold-mine proposal has moved to the public comment period and technical reviews are being conducted by various federal government agencies.

The 30-day public comment period runs until May 24, and includes aboriginal community consultations meetings led by the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency, as well as an open house in Dryden today at the Best Western Plus from 3-5 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. A session was held in Wabigoon on Wednesday.
