Indigenous justice centre opens in Prince George – Prince George Daily News

The first four Indigenous Justice Centres in the province, including one in Prince George, were officially Wednesday.

A virtual grand opening event celebrated this milestone with nearly 600 guests in attendance

“Our four IndigAenous Justice Centres – one in Prince Rupert, Prince George and Merritt as well as a virtual centre – provide vital legal services to underserved communities,” said Doug White, chair of the council. “These centres are on the frontlines of justice reform and assist with criminal and child protection matters. For Indigenous clients, the legal advice and representation they receive can be life-changing.
