We need a federal political leader who pursues transparency and questions how money is spent
There are key indications that I look for in political leadership. I follow closely how politicians interact with Indigenous communities. I look at their stances on the economy, and whether they are going to work with or hinder Indigenous businesses.
We need a federal leader who wants transparency and questions how money is spent. I believe that Conservative leadership candidate Pierre Poilievre, who challenged the Liberal government’s controversial decision to hand over $43.5 million to the WE charity, could help with that. How much money is really going to reserves? How is it being spent? Fiscal accountability and transparency are becoming a trend in our communities.
