Morning Star’ business aims to provide opportunities for Indigenous people – CBC

Sault Ste. Marie’s Chris Trainor has created his dream job and is seeing success.
Trainor, who is also a member of the Thessalon First Nation, has started Morning Star Hospitality, a business aimed at providing Indigenous education, training and employment opportunities.
The business is based in southern Ontario, but Trainor said it has several contracts in northern Ontario, including the University of Sudbury and Algoma University. The company has also landed a contract with the upcoming Pan Am Games.
“I wanted to have an Aboriginal influence throughout all aspects of the company,” he said.
