The National Energy Board (NEB) has issued decisions regarding two Notices of Violation issued to Enbridge Pipelines Inc. (Enbridge). The NEB took enforcement action against Enbridge for the company’s apparent failure to fulfill NEB conditions of approval at its Plains Wascana Tank 80 (Wascana) facility and Edmonton to Hardisty pipeline project.
On March 6, 2015, and March 26, 2015 the NEB issued two administrative monetary penalties (AMP) to Enbridge. A $64,000 penalty (AMP-006-2015) was issued regarding the Wascana matter; and a further $40,000 penalty (AMP 007-2015) was issued regarding Edmonton to Hardisty pipeline project, respectively.
