Richard Pamak says he’s shocked by his removal as a minister from the Nunatsiavut government and denies taking any money through travel claims.
Pamak, who served as Culture, Recreation and Tourism minister, was removed from Nunatsiavut’s executive council Monday.
“The decision to relieve me as minister came as a complete shock as I have not committed or intentionally attempted to commit any act to defraud the Nunatsiavut government,” Pamak said in a statement Tuesday.
President Sarah Leo told CBC News Pamak was fired over questionable travel and expense claims.
