Partnership steps up to install new staircase in Park – Westerly News

Significant steps have been launched to ease the steps taken by Pacific Rim National Park visitors as a unique partnership between the Park and local First Nations stepped up to help visitors step up.

Accessing Half-Moon Bay’s breathtaking views got a whole lot easier last month thanks to a brand new staircase installed through a partnership between Parks Canada and local First Nations.

The Pacific Rim National Park held a trail building workshop from Feb 23 to March 12 that resulted in the new staircase on Willowbrae Trail.

“Every year, Parks Canada uses its national expertise as trail builders to deliver a trail-building workshop to local First Nations,” said Park spokesperson Laura Judson.
