A former minister in the Nunatsiavut government says he still does not understand why he was fired from his position.
Richard Pamak, who served as culture, recreation and tourism minister, said he was shocked when he was called to a meeting on Monday and relieved of his duties.
“I got called into office by [the] president and when I arrived, the president and first minister were waiting for me,” he said.
“They informed me that according to certain sections of the Inuit constitution, that I was relieved of my duties as minister.”
