Sexual assault is a highly gendered crime, with women and girls accounting for 9 in 10 victims (90%) of incidents reported to police in 2022. The vast majority (96%) of accused persons were men and boys, and most victims (74%) knew the person accused of the crime.

Wholesale trade: Early indicator, March 2024
Statistics Canada is providing an advance estimate of sales in the wholesale trade sector for March. The advance results for March indicate that wholesale sales (excluding petroleum, petroleum products, and other hydrocarbons and excluding oilseed and grain) fell 1.3%. The decrease reflects lower sales in the motor vehicle and motor vehicle parts and accessories subsector and the miscellaneous subsector.
