Gross domestic product, income and expenditure, fourth quarter 2024
Real gross domestic product increased 0.6% in the fourth quarter, after rising 0.5% in the third quarter. Growth in the fourth quarter was driven by higher household final consumption expenditures and increased exports and business investment. Drawdowns of business inventories and higher imports moderated the overall growth.

Farm cash receipts, January to December 2024
Farm cash receipts totalled $97.3 billion in 2024, down 2.1% (-$2.1 billion) compared with 2023. This was the first decline in annual farm cash receipts since 2010.
Poultry and egg statistics, February 2025
Data on stocks of frozen eggs and poultry meats, as well as edible dried egg products, are now available for February 2025. Data on the placements of hatchery chicks and turkey poults are available for January 2025, and data on egg production are available for December 2024.
National Travel Survey, third quarter 2024
During the third quarter, Canadian residents took 105.0 million trips in Canada and abroad, up 5.3% from the same quarter in 2023 and an increase of 3.4% from the third quarter in 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic. Most of the trips from July to September 2024 were domestic (89.9%), followed by trips to the United States (7.6%) and overseas (2.5%).
Visitor Travel Survey, third quarter 2024
In the third quarter, visitors from the United States and overseas countries made 11.1 million trips to Canada, up 6.6% from the same quarter in 2023. From July to September 2024, nearly four out of five non-resident trips (78.5%) were made by US residents.
Energy statistics, December 2024
Primary energy production increased 5.8% year over year in December, setting a record for the series, which began in 2020. All primary energy types contributed to the overall gain.
