Retail trade, September 2025
Retail sales decreased 0.7% to $69.8 billion in September. Sales were down in six of nine subsectors, led by decreases at motor vehicle and parts dealers.
Consolidated Canadian Government Finance Statistics, 2024
The consolidated Canadian general government, which includes federal, provincial, territorial and local governments, recorded a deficit of $68.5 billion in 2024, down from the $94.0 billion deficit reported in 2023.

Today, Statistics Canada is publishing the 2024 list of entities in the Public Sector Universe. This year’s product presents public sector units from 2008 to 2024.
New Housing Price Index, October 2025
The New Housing Price Index (December 2016=100) is now available for October.
Capital expenditures on environmental protection by businesses, 2022 and 2023
Data on capital expenditures on environmental protection for the years 2022 and 2023 are now available. The data present estimates for industry groups not covered by the Environmental Protection Expenditures Survey, which provides information on the costs incurred by Canadian industries to protect the environment.
New data tables from the Canadian Housing Survey, 2022
New data tables that inform the Housing needs indicator in Canada’s Quality of Life Framework are now available from the Canadian Housing Survey for the year 2022. These tables present statistics on acceptable housing and core housing need by province, housing tenure and selected sociodemographic characteristics, such as age group, immigrant status and household income.
Survey on Giving, Volunteering and Participating: Data tables, 2018 and 2023
New tables on donor and volunteer participation and contributions are now available for the 2018 General Social Survey on Giving, Volunteering and Participating and the 2023 Survey on Giving, Volunteering and Participating.
Refined petroleum products, October 2025
