Gross domestic product, income and expenditure, third quarter 2025
Real gross domestic product increased 0.6% in the third quarter of 2025, after falling 0.5% in the second quarter. The rise in the third quarter was driven by a strengthening trade balance, as imports dropped and exports edged up.

Premature and potentially avoidable mortality in Canada, provinces and territories, 2020 to 2023
In 2023, just under one-quarter (or 80,050) of the 326,215 deaths in Canada were potentially avoidable.
Aquaculture, 2024
Sales of Canadian aquaculture products and services rose 8.8% year over year to $1.4 billion in 2024, while product expenses increased 7.0%. Higher aquaculture sales in Newfoundland and Labrador (+41.9%) and New Brunswick (+11.2%) accounted for most of the national increase.

Population projections for Census divisions and subdivisions, 2024 to 2049
Today, Statistics Canada is releasing new population projections by census divisions and census subdivisions. Commissioned by the Canadian Infrastructure Council to inform Canada’s National Infrastructure Assessment Report 1, these projections provide impartial, evidence-based insights to all orders of government, infrastructure owners, operators and investors to improve infrastructure planning and decision-making across Canada.
