Wholesale trade, June 2017
Wholesale sales declined 0.5% to $61.4 billion in June following eight consecutive monthly increases. Declines were recorded in five of seven subsectors, led by the food, beverage and tobacco subsector and the motor vehicle and parts subsector.
Pipeline transportation of oil and other liquid petroleum products, June 2017
In June, pipeline throughput was up in Canada compared to the same month last year. This can be explained by wildfires in northern Alberta that had started in May 2016 and contributed to a decrease in crude oil pipeline activities.
