The accommodation services subsector recorded a record-high operating revenue of $34.9 billion in 2023, marking a 17.6% increase from 2022 and a 29.0% rise compared with 2019. Growth should be more moderate moving forward, with COVID-19 pandemic impacts now being minimal.
Consumer goods rental sector, 2023
The consumer goods rental and general rental centres industry groups reported total operating revenues of $3.7 billion in 2023, up 6.7% from 2022. During the same period, operating expenses rose 7.2% to $2.9 billion, leading to an industry-wide operating profit margin of 20.7%.
Quarterly capital spending: Oil and gas industries, third quarter 2024
Capital expenditures in the oil and gas extraction industries decreased by 8.3% in the third quarter to $11.8 billion.
