Travel between Canada and other countries, April 2025
In April, the number of trips to Canada by US residents decreased 8.9% year over year, while the number of trips to Canada by overseas residents edged down 0.6%.
Volunteering and charitable giving in Canada, 2018 to 2023
Data from the 2023 Survey on Giving, Volunteering and Participating, released today, show how participation and experiences of volunteers and donors have changed over the recent and tumultuous period from 2018 to 2023. In particular, this period was marked by a significant decline in volunteering and in the number of donors.
Public Service Employee Survey, 2024
New findings from the 2024 Public Service Employee Survey (PSES) indicate that the majority of federal public servants had a sense of pride about their work (82%). They were also satisfied with their job (77%), though the job satisfaction rate has fallen somewhat since 2022, when it stood at 81%.
Study: Flash estimates of selected services industries, 2024
Today, Statistics Canada is publishing a new study entitled “Easing revenue growth for service industries in 2024.” According to this study, service industries are being challenged by higher volatility, tighter economic conditions and weaker demand. All 12 service industries analyzed experienced slower revenue growth in 2024 compared with 2023, and 1 of these industries experienced a decline in revenue.
