Monthly Survey of Manufacturing, December 2023
Manufacturing sales fell 0.7% in December, mainly on lower sales of motor vehicles and chemical products. Meanwhile, production of aerospace products and parts posted the largest increase.
Investment in building construction, December 2023
Investment in building construction edged up 0.3% month over month to $19.8 billion in December. The residential sector grew 0.3% to $13.8 billion, and investment in the non-residential sector rose 0.3% to $6.1 billion.
Balance sheet of the agricultural sector, December 31, 2022 (revised data)
The value of equity in Canada’s farm sector totalled $729.9 billion as of December 31, 2022, up by $83.6 billion (+12.9%) from the same date a year earlier. This was the largest percentage increase in farm equity since the beginning of the series in 1981. Every province reported growth in farm equity, ranging from 3.4% in Newfoundland and Labrador to 16.8% in Ontario. Equity gains in Ontario accounted for more than one-third of the national increase.

Traffic Flow Dashboard
Statistics Canada has launched the Traffic Flow Dashboard as a source of experimental statistics to provide information on the traffic flow on selected road segments in the cities of Calgary and Toronto.
