National balance sheet and financial flow accounts, first quarter 2025
Households were wealthier in the first quarter of 2025, despite headwinds of economic uncertainty and volatile markets, as their net worth—the value of all assets minus all liabilities—increased $141.2 billion (+0.8%) to $17,599.8 billion.
New motor vehicle registrations, first quarter 2025
Canadians registered 426,872 new motor vehicles in the first quarter, an increase of 2.9% from the first quarter of 2024 and a decrease of 3.8% from the fourth quarter of 2024.
Provisional death counts, January 2023 to March 2025
Today’s release includes new and updated adjusted counts of death from the Canadian Vital Statistics Death Database, covering the period from January 7, 2023, to April 5, 2025.
