New Housing Price Index, May 2024
The national index rose by 0.2% on a month-over-month basis in May and prices grew in 10 of the 27 census metropolitan areas (CMAs) surveyed. This was the first month since June 2022 that prices increased in 10 or more CMAs.
Railway carloadings, April 2024
In April, the volume of cargo carried by Canadian railways totalled 32.5 million tonnes, up 2.2% from April 2023. Higher volumes of intermodal shipments (containers) as well as higher carloadings of grains led the overall increase.

Principal statistics from the Annual Mineral Production Survey are now available for the 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 reference years. The tables present employment and financial data for the mining industry using the North American Industry Classification System at the national, provincial and territorial levels.
