Canadian international merchandise trade: Annual review 2023
In 2023, the value of Canada’s annual merchandise exports decreased 1.4% to $768.2 billion, while the value of annual imports rose 1.4% to $770.2 billion. As a result, Canada’s merchandise trade balance with the world went from a surplus of $19.7 billion in 2022 to a slight deficit of $1.9 billion in 2023.
Provisional death counts, January 2021 to February 2024
Today’s release includes new and updated adjusted counts of death from the Canadian Vital Statistics Death Database, covering the period from January 3, 2021, to March 2, 2024. The Provisional Deaths in Canada Dashboard, which provides the most recent insights on mortality trends, as well as interactive data visualization tools, has been updated.
