Consumer Price Index, March 2024
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 2.9% on a year-over-year basis in March, up from a 2.8% gain in February. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the CPI rose 0.3% in March.
Multifactor productivity growth estimates and industry productivity database, 2022
Multifactor productivity, measured as output per unit of combined labour and capital inputs, increased 0.6% in the Canadian business sector in 2022, following a decline of 2.2% in 2021. The increase in multifactor productivity in 2022 reflected a 4.4% growth in gross domestic product (GDP) and a 3.8% growth in the combined inputs of capital and labour.
Data availability for Canadian Internet Use Survey: Public use microdata file
The public use microdata file from the Canadian Internet Use Survey (CIUS) for the 2022 reference period is now available. Data were collected from December 2022 to April 2023 from approximately 25,100 residents of Canada 15 years of age and older living in the 10 provinces, excluding full-time residents (residing for more than six months) of institutions.
