Child care arrangements, 2023
In 2023, just over half (56%) of children aged younger than 6 years were in child care, up from 52% in 2022, but lower than in 2019 (60%), before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sexual misconduct in the Canadian Armed Forces, 2022
According to the 2022 Survey on Sexual Misconduct in the Canadian Armed Forces, sexual assault and personal experiences of sexualized or discriminatory behaviour increased among Regular Force members. At the same time, bystander intervention also increased, and perceptions of the response to sexual misconduct are generally positive.
Registered apprenticeship training programs, 2022
In 2022, 81,141 Canadians registered in an apprenticeship program, an increase of 11.6% (+8,430) from 2021. The number of new registrations in 2022 surpassed pre-COVID-19-pandemic registration levels and marks the highest number of new registrations since 2014. Certifications, by contrast, remained below pre-pandemic levels, having declined by 0.8% (-354) to 46,777 in 2022 from the previous year.
