Firearms and violent crime in Canada, 2023
After reaching a 14-year high in 2022, the rate of firearm-related violent crime in Canada declined 1.7% in 2023. Firearm-related homicides also fell for the first time since 2018.

Total sales in the food services and drinking places subsector increased for the fifth consecutive month in December, rising 0.3% to $8.3 billion.
Monthly Survey of Manufacturing: Advance indicator, January 2025
Statistics Canada is providing an advance estimate of sales in the manufacturing sector for January. Advance results indicate that total manufacturing sales rose 2.0% in January. The largest increases were in the motor vehicle industry group as well as the primary metal subsector.
