Total capital expenditures by businesses and governments on non-residential tangible capital assets are expected to increase by 4.5% to $353.9 billion in 2024.

Younger generations have grown up with the Internet and this affects the nature of their online interactions and engagements. Today, in advance of Pink Shirt Day (February 28), Statistics Canada is releasing new analysis on cyberaggression among young people.
National Travel Survey, third quarter 2023
During the third quarter, Canadian residents took 99.7 million trips, up 3.0 million from the same quarter of 2022 (96.7 million). Most (91.1%) of the third quarter of 2023 trips were domestic. From July to September, Canadian residents spent $27.5 billion on domestic travel and spent $11.8 billion on travel outside the country.
Visitor Travel Survey, third quarter 2023
Canada welcomed 10.5 million travellers from the United States and overseas in the third quarter, representing 83.9% of the number of trips made in the same quarter of 2019. More than three-quarters (77.8%) of these travellers were from the United States.
Poultry and egg statistics, February 2024
Data on stocks of frozen eggs and poultry meats, as well as edible dried egg products, are now available for February 2024. Data on the placements of hatchery chicks and turkey poults are available for January 2024, and data on egg production are available for December 2023.
Milled wheat and wheat flour produced, January 2024
Millers milled 270 572 tonnes of wheat in January, while wheat flour production totalled 203 770 tonnes.
Deliveries of major grains, January 2024
Data on major grain deliveries are now available for January.
Oilseed crushing statistics, January 2024
Oilseed processors crushed 936 593 tonnes of canola in January. Oil production totalled 398 507 tonnes, while meal production totalled 541 335 tonnes.
