Consumer Price Index, December 2023
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 3.4% on a year-over-year basis in December, following a 3.1% increase in November. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the CPI rose 0.3% in December.
Consumer Price Index: Annual review, 2023
The Consumer Price Index rose 3.9% on an annual average basis in 2023, following a 40-year high increase of 6.8% in 2022 and a 3.4% increase in 2021.

Small and medium-sized businesses in rural and small town Canada, 2021
In 2021, over 315,000 small businesses were operating in rural and small town (RST) areas, representing 15.3% of all small businesses in Canada. This compared with more than 1.7 million small businesses that were active in urban areas.
