Consumer Price Index, February 2025
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 2.6% on a year-over-year basis in February, up from a 1.9% increase in January. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the CPI rose 0.7% in February.
Job vacancies, fourth quarter 2024
Job vacancies were virtually unchanged in the fourth quarter at 547,800, following nine consecutive quarters of decline since peaking at 983,600 in the second quarter of 2022.
The underground economy in Canada, 2023
The estimated gross domestic product (GDP) at market prices for underground economic activity in Canada was $72.4 billion in 2023, equivalent to 2.5% of total GDP.
Urban public transit, January 2025
In January, Canada’s urban transit ridership totalled 132.2 million trips, up 7.0% from the same month in 2024 and 82.2% of January’s 2019 ridership, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Specialized design services, 2023
Following two consecutive years of double-digit growth, operating revenues in the specialized design services industry rose 3.6% to $4.5 billion in 2023.
