Consumer Price Index, April 2024
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 2.7% on a year-over-year basis in April, down from a 2.9% gain in March. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the CPI rose 0.2% in April.
Hours worked and labour productivity in the provinces and territories (preliminary), 2023
In 2023, the productivity of businesses fell in all provinces and in Yukon. For Canada as a whole, productivity decreased 2.2%, a third consecutive annual decline.
Activities of multinational enterprises in Canada and abroad, update of tables, 2021
Data tables for the activities of multinational enterprises in Canada have been updated to include gross domestic product for the reference year 2021.
Railway carloadings, March 2024
In March, the volume of cargo carried by Canadian railways totalled 32.2 million tonnes, down 4.5% compared with March 2023. Fewer shipments of iron ores and coal as well as continuing declines in grain were the main contributors.
