Canadian international merchandise trade, September 2024
In September, Canada’s merchandise exports decreased 0.1%, while imports fell 0.4%. Consequently, Canada’s merchandise trade deficit with the world narrowed from $1.5 billion in August to $1.3 billion in September.
Canadian international trade in services, September 2024
Canada’s monthly international trade in services deficit narrowed from $1.4 billion in August to $1.2 billion in September. Overall, exports of services increased 1.6% to $17.2 billion, and imports of services were up 0.3% to $18.4 billion.
Building construction price indexes, third quarter 2024
In the third quarter, four census metropolitan areas (CMAs) were added to the Building Construction Price Index: Québec, London, Regina and Victoria. Indexes for these CMAs are available beginning with the first quarter of 2023.
