Gross domestic product by industry: Nowcast, March 2020
Given the unique situation faced by the Canadian economy in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and the demand for trusted information on the aggregate impact of this health crisis on the economy, Statistics Canada has produced a flash estimate of monthly gross domestic product (GDP) for March. The GDP flash estimate indicates a decline of approximately 9% in March.
Detailed preliminary data on confirmed cases of COVID-19, January 15 to April 13, 2020
A revised set of preliminary data on the number of confirmed novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases reported by the provincial and territorial health authorities to the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) is now available. The set covers the period from January 15 to April 13, 2020.
Dairy statistics, January 2020
The total amount of milk sold off farms increased 1.2% year over year to 791 677 kilolitres in January. Meanwhile, milk sold off farms for fluid purposes increased 0.6% to 235 618 kilolitres. Milk sold off farms for industrial purposes increased 1.5% year over year to 556 059 kilolitres.
