Canada’s international investment position, third quarter 2025
Canada’s net foreign asset position, the difference between Canada’s international financial assets and international liabilities, increased by $95.3 billion to $1,925.8 billion at the end of the third quarter.
Colleges report their largest recorded growth in revenue and expenditures in more than two decades in 2023/2024
Canadian colleges recorded their largest increase in total revenue (+11.5%) and expenditure (+12.3%) in more than two decades in 2023/2024. Total revenues reached $18.5 billion, while expenditures totalled $17.9 billion.
Leading indicator of international arrivals to Canada, November 2025
In November, the preliminary number of international arrivals to Canada (returning Canadian residents and non-residents combined) by air and automobile was 4.1 million, down 13.5% from November 2024. This was the 10th consecutive month of year-over-year declines.

Canadian Coroner and Medical Examiner Database, January 2006 to September 2025
Today, Statistics Canada is releasing new data from the Canadian Coroner and Medical Examiner Database (CCMED). The CCMED is a database developed at Statistics Canada in collaboration with the provincial and territorial Chief Coroners and Chief Medical Examiners and the Public Health Agency of Canada. The CCMED combines information from 12 provincial and territorial databases to provide national level information on the circumstances related to deaths reported to and investigated by coroners and medical examiners.
